Katie-Lou turned 16 last week (can’t believe it!). She had a pamper afternoon with some friends and family and had a very relaxing time (she slept through most of it!) Thank you to the girls at Bliss for the pamper afternoon and thanks everyone for her cards, pressies and well wishes. Thanks also to Rory for his great cake.
It was nice to see Katie-Lou relaxed on her birthday as she has had a terrible couple days just before her birthday when a problem with her gastrostomy meant a visit to A&E and then an endoscopy to remove some wayward gastrostomy parts from her stomach. As always she was well looked after at Sick Kids, Edinburgh, for a couple of days and all’s well again now.
KL has been really vocal of late. A couple of times she’s woken and shouted really loudly. Not sure what thats about but it is progress of sorts. She also seems to make more murmering and grumpy noises, mostly when she’s upset about something but it does seem like she’s trying to make a point of letting us know something is bothering her. She’s also had a lot of giggles and even hysterical laughter recently which is brilliant to see and has us all in giggles.
